Misto Olive Oil Sprayer

This review is from: Misto Gourmet Olive Oil Sprayer, Brushed Aluminum (Kitchen) We grill a lot of vegetables in my household (both on the grill, and in the oven in the wintertime), and this is a great device. Gives a light, uniform coating of oil to the veggies. Other things I use it for include oiling pans, my grill, and for misting the top of an italian pie or calzone with olive oil before baking for a nice golden color. Also, if you coat chicken in a bread crumb mixture, spray it with oil, and then bake it, it comes out crispy on the outside...a healthy alternative if you miss the taste of fried chicken. We have one, and are ordering a second, so that we can have one for olive oil and another for a lighter vegetable oil. About the only complaint I have is that if you pump it up too much, the oil mists too well! You'll get a light coating of oil on whatever you're spraying, but there will also be this cloud of tiny oil droplets hanging in the air. What I've learned from experience is just not to pump it up too much.

Four Piece NEW STYLE 2 1/4" Herb, Spice or Tobacco Pollen Grinder

This review is from: Four Piece NEW STYLE 2 1/4" Herb, Spice or Tobacco Pollen Grinder This is a neat little grinder if you have never had one before. The grinder, as is, is a four piece with a screen to collect fine herb material. But the screen is so tightly wound that you have to puncture it a million times with a needle in order to allow any "pollen" to fall through. Other than that the metal threads are just ok. They arent super sharp so you have to grind for a while. For what youre paying its an alright grinder. But if you are a serious smoker and like a good grinder, spend a few extra bucks on a better one. PS: a lot of people are talking about metal shavings in their herb. You must wash the grinder before the first use and you shouldnt see any shavings after that.

Cuisinart CSB-76 SmartStick 200-Watt Immersion Hand Blender

This review is from: Cuisinart CSB-76BC SmartStick 200-Watt Immersion Hand Blender, Brushed Chrome (Kitchen) This is the third hand blender I have owned, and is by far the most solid, smoothest running and easiest to clean. The brushed chrome construction looks great and is also easier to clean than plastic versions. Handy features like detachable base, included mixing cup and extra long mixer are thoughtful and useful. The motor is smooth and powerful - it is the Audi V8 of the hand blender world. For the quality, brand and power, $30 is an absolute steal.

EatSmart Precision Pro - Multifunction Digital Kitchen Scale w/ Extra Large LCD and 11 Lb. Capacity

I waited a couple of weeks before I wrote this so I felt it could be accurate. First, let me start bt stating we LOVE this scale!! We looked and looked at scales - researched and researched.. I was online saw this scale for $25, saw the great reviews and bought it instantly! Some of the greatest features...
Size - it is just the right size, it is flat and compact so it fits on the counter perfect.
Measurements - I love that is measures in grams, ozs.. it makes weighing very accurate. It comes with this handy little book that lists almost all foods and gives the info in th USDA Calorie Factor. At first I was puzzled - now I love it. I weigh most meat in oz. then you multiply the Cal factor by 28 (28 grams in an oz) then you have cal per oz.. it is very accurate. I did not know what 6 oz of chicken looked like..
Tare Function - this is fabulous!! You just push the on button, put your plate/paper towel whatever on top - push on/tare. It resets to zero, then measure your food..how easy is that!!
We measure EVERYTHING.. we are adjusting our diet and this scale has proved to be essential. Bottom line, it is accurate, easy to use, easy to store, has any function you would need... and at a great price!! No need to go out and spend $50 - $100 on a scale - this cannot be beat!!! Go for it - you will not be sorry.

Krups 203 Electric Coffee and Spice Grinder with Stainless-Steel Blades

This review is from: Krups 203-42 Electric Spice and Coffee Grinder with Stainless Steel Blades, Black (Kitchen) I have had my grinder for 12 years now. It works the same today as it did new, and I use it about 10 times a week. For the money, it can't be beat. That said, this grinder is not for everybody. This grinder is perfect for anybody with a coffee maker that uses #4 paper CONE filters (or slightly bigger or smaller). I emphasize PAPER because a permanent filter is not good for this grinder. Like any blade grinder, it will produce some dust. That creeps through the permafilter and into your pot is makes sludge. It sloppies up your coffee. Nothing gets through paper filters though. It also grinds coffee fine. You really don't have a choice. It is ok for espresso as well if you are not a connoisseur. If you try a coarse grind with this unit, you will be out of luck. If you don't grind long enough, you will leave a few beans whole or in large pieces. If you need anything other than a fine grind and don't mind using paper filters (I prefer them), then look no further. I deducted a star because it has limitations, but the truth is, for probably 80% of the coffee drinkers out there, this grinder is all you need.
